What is Academic Integrity? 

Academic integrity is a set of standards for students that center around honesty and transparency in academic work. It involves following the rules and guidelines set out by your academic institution. These include rules regarding plagiarism, or the act of using someone else’s ideas, words, or work without crediting them. It also involves rules regarding the proper citing of sources and collaboration with others.  

Maintaining academic integrity is essential for ensuring the quality of your academic work and promoting a culture of trust and respect in academic communities.  

Violations of academic integrity can result in serious consequences, such as failing grades, academic probation, suspension, or expulsion. It can also damage your academic and professional reputation in the long term.
